Welcome to the Asklepeion

Ancient healing centers of the Aegean

where the incubation and interpretation of dreams was used as an integral part

of the healing process and personal self-development.

Thank you for your interest in my site.

Language translator at bottom and in the footer.

If you have any questions or comments (I love to hear from folks about how they like the site, or what they would like to see. I also would be willing to share the titles of books I've read and would enjoy titles that you've found fascinating and helpful in your quest.), or if you wish to share a dream, please fill out the Comments form below and I'll get back to you. If you've read my books and have questions I would also like to hear from you.

Dream Interpretations:

When sharing a dream, please provide me with a context so that I can tell what is part of your dream and what is part of your waking life e.g. are you a musician in your waking life, or just in your dream, or both? It is also important to have some idea of the stressors in your life that might affect the interpretation.

I may also check back with you for better understanding of something before I interpret, so be on the lookout for my e-mail. Bottom line, good interpretation requires a dialog between dreamer and analyst. This is of course more difficult via e-mail. So give me as much detail (emotions in the dream are especially important, what the symbols may mean to you, colors, smells, what's going on in your life that the dream may be speaking to, etc.) about the dream and your waking life as you feel comfortable with and I'll give you some impressions which you can sort through to see if they apply.

Please note that the interpretation(s) that I provide are not the ultimate meaning of the dream. Every interpretation is but a hypothesis and an attempt to read what is often an enigmatic narrative. You the dreamer will know what meaning(s) would be your own truth by what you feel in your heart. If it resonates as true, then go with it; otherwise discard it in part, or in its entirety. I can only offer what the dream would mean for me if it were mine.

In no way do I claim to be always right about any dream. If my interpretation doesn't resonate with you, don't use it. I will do my best to add some insight to all dreams.

Also if you could differentiate between what was in your dream and what is in your waking life it would be helpful. Sometimes folks will run the two of them together in their minds.

Because culture influences meaning, sometimes it helps if I know what country you live in and if there are differences, what provence you are in.

Finally, Second-hand dreams (dreams shared by other people with you) are always a little difficult because of what the re-teller adds, or leaves out, or emphasizes, but I 'll give it a try. Also, dreams of you that other people have are most likely about them and not you. Your role in the dream is that of an aspect of you that is reflected in their life somehow.

Note that dreams are very personal and intimate aspects of the dreamer and should be treated with respect and only shared with the dreamer's blessing.

Sometimes I am traveling and won't be able to get back to you for a short time. Because of ever growing queue, I will generally get back to you within 7 to 14 days. So please be patient, the world of dreams doesn't move the same as the waking world.

Most important! In the past I've encountered some problems with return e-mail addresses so please be careful with your return address, for example, a small typo such as a space that doesn't belong or a letter typed next to the letter you want (e.g. n, instead of m) will make it impossible to get back to you. Please proofread your addresses before hitting the 'send' button.

*Note: out of over 3500 dreams I have worked with since beginning this site at least 50+ of them could not be returned to the dreamer that sent them due to e-mail address errors.

For your privacy: All your dreams are kept private as are my responses to them. From time to time I will contact people to see if they would be willing to have the dream published as an example of a type of dream. When given permission I remove all identification including e-mail address, names, locations, and gender reference to the dreamer and then publish.

If my interpretation has been of use to you, please write me back and tell me so. It gets lonely out here and feels a bit incomplete when the communication is only one way. Thanks!

Bob

I've also created a Blog designed to augment the interpretation of dreams. I invite you to become a follower of the blog as well (though you do not have to officially "follow" in order to log on to the Blog.) and have some fun!
